Car wont shut off??

like the title says,it has been driving fine all day, i tuned the car off many times and it cut off as usual, 2night i parked the car pulled up the ebrake took out the key and voila.. the car stays stay on engine running etc so i stalled the car just to cut the engine off, but the guages, fans and everything except the radio stays on as if the turbo timer was on, but it wasnt... any1 point me in the right direction???

First things first...get rid of your turbo timer!!! Ppl on this forum don't mention that over and over and OVER for nothing...

nope i tried that as well, the car will not cut off at all unless i stall it, and even if i stall it the fans and gauges stay let up, so i disconnected the battery....

I'm pretty sure Ramy is on the money here. There aren't a whole lot of other reasons why your car would stay on like that other than a device such as a turbo timer being the cause. The only other device/cause I can think of would possibly be a aftermarket alarm with a remote start. But if you don't have that, it's a moot point. G/L

na n aftermarket alarm or anything all factory.. 2moro morning iam gonna head down to the shop and bypass the turbo timer and hopefully that will fix it... i still dont understand why the turbo timer would just die for no reason after being flawless for about 2years, either way ill find out in the morning

damn lol i didnt even realize they were that prown to failing, i would go out of my way to buy 1, buy this 1 came with the car when i bought it so i just left it... question though, when i had my problem my turbo timer was already off, does that effect the situation??

What is waiting for 3 minutes when your car is hot when you get home? What is not boosting for the last maybe 5-10 minutes of your ride. Easy effort **** turbo timers.

car fixed.. turbo timer was shot, i by-passed it and the cars fine now thanx fdnewbie

Alex, 5 - 10 min. is a LOT of time. You only need about 30 - 45 sec of coasting.
