i think im having some kind of electrical or ignition problem. My battery works fine, everything will work w/ the car turned off (radio, windows ect...) and when the car is running the battery doesnt drain, so i dont think its the altenator. It will crank only if its jumped off. If i try to start the car without a jump, it wont turn over. the starter will click and start buzzing but thats it. Anyone got a fix on what the problem is.

 

Try tapping the starter with a stick, your starter solenoid is probably gone already...you need to replace it...

 

load test the battery. check the terminals see if they are clean and tight

 

sounds like the starter given the info above. i know mine needs to be replaced b/c i have to bump it 2 times then it cranks over.

i didnt think it was the battery, but i took it to Auto Zone for a free battery test praying that might be the problem. i got lucky. the battery had enough juice to turn all the electronics on, but not enough to turn the engine over. new battery fixed it.
*note check simple stuff first before sending your car to the shop
