Car way to rich, help
Ok I got the car with a 3.5inch turbo back exhaust, intake, act clutch. The car is running a stock computer, and we beleive stock injectors.. some how the car runs pure rich all the way. When I am idling its running so rich it just poors black smoke and sitting still for 5 minutes you cant get the smell of gas off you. My question is did the previous owner up the fuel pressure some how? If so would it help if I droped it a few psi? Right now the car gets like 10 miles to the gallon.

Mine wasn't that bad, but you could smell gas......found out it was a leaking injector and had those replaced with new ones from Mazda. Check on the injectors, they may be broken.

What's the easiest way to check this? I had to put a stock ECU back in temporarily...I've got mild mods...street port, intake, downpipe...but I'm getting about 12 psi of boost and I'm still showing rich with the stock ECU. Add to that a gasoline smell...I have a feeling I'm having injector issues too, I'm just not sure how to tell for sure.

unitl you figure your injector issue, i wouldn't go flogging it around. It might run rich at idle and low rpm, but that might mean it's clogged or non-functional in the higher duty cycles.
