car runs fine when it doesnt have to come to a stop.

When either idling or coming to a stop or at a light, my FD will not idle. The idle is rough even at 1k, very burbly,lumpy, like it has a port (it doesnt) and the engine is rough up to 1500 rpm. When I come to a stop, the car will go down to idle and it will immediately die. If its at about 500 rpm about to stall, if I floor it, sometimes it will do nothing and eventually stall, or sometimes it will come back to life but it is rough getting it back to 1000+rpm.

This symptom seems more pronounced when the car is warm, and worse when its very warm ie. driving on the highway for an hour and then heat soaking in traffic.

Was thinking map sensor, vac leak..

sounds like a blown apex to me.

 

last time that happened to me, my fpd was leaking. not sure if it had any thign to do with it or not though but when i replaced, it, it went back to normal.

 

when your FPD went out, did you smell gas? I dont smell any gas under hood or anywhere else. Guess I should carry a fire extinguisher just in case

 

i had this problem... turned out to be gunked up plugs

 

trying to get a few more opinions..

 

look into resetting the power fc...
would read up on it first

just remember reading somewheres on here someone having idle problems..they reset thier ecu and things were happy

 

I have the exact same problem and i cant find the sollution!!!
I ve been reading the forum but cant find any thread with sollution for this problem.
Has anyone solved this annoying hot idle issue?
