That spool up doesn't seem like anything too special. I'm assuming that is in 4th gear? I've been told that if the intake ports are too big that can increase spool time.

agreed. I can hit that with a REW and a non BB turbo. (although I hold it at 17psi before 5k)

not in 4th, 2nd and 3rd, in first you can do it by 5.5k. Rey, I plan on it Was at a dynoday today put together by brevardmotorsports.org guys, was alot of fun. The car has been dyno'd, however at this time im not going to release numbers just yet because there are a few spots im not happy with yet, 3k mainly when injectors change over..when its all dialed in ill take it for a final tune and dyno and put up some sheets. Ill just say im really impressed with this turbo.. and the intake ports I cant imagine being too big as they are stock 13bre intake ports, just cleaned/smoothed up.

Another interesting aspect.. my coolant temps.. 160 at driving speed, up to180 sitting still.. Im so used to 200 and over, this big koyo, electric fans, vented hood is a great combo it seems. Im thusfar VERY impressed.

I just bought a motor that was on ebay that looks just like this motor. It shows a dyno of 618 rwhp at 26psi. I bought it from a guy that purshased the ca from Fla. and moved it to New Mexico then shipped to me in Sav. Ga. He went to LS1 conversion. I am wondering how reliable if any this car will be.

^ Damn, those numbers are a lil high. Not doubtful, but they sound high. I may be causious about that engine too, that's squeezing almost everything out of that thing, it may be bad already. And if it was putting down that much hp, why is he doing an LS1 swap? Be very causious like I said.

aint that the truth

But seriously, as long an FD is done up right and in good condition, any color looks sexy on it. But vintage red and chaste white just stand out a little more

Way off topic, sorry.

Why oh why are the white FD's so sexy to you guys? I have one with 49k miles (had it for like 3 months) and I am serioulsly contemplating changing the color while I have the motor out. The black leather interior is showroom quality also.
