Hi guys, hopefully someone has had this same experience and can help me out..

Today my 97 started randomly cutting out. The engine will turn but just wont fire, also the dash lights will not come up. When i give the kick panel a good kick though, it seems to rattle something and the lights will come on, and the car will then fire. The car is a RHD so its the fusebox side. When im driving randomly it will just turn off again and requires another good kick, and to be restarted.. quite annoying when your holding up traffic etc.. Anyone know what it could be down there? Checked all the fuses before i realised i could get it going like that, so its none of them..

The obvious answer would be a loose connection somewhere. I had a similar problem that my mechanic traced to a bad connector. He soldered in a connection around it and it worked fine. The only thing I can think of is to see if you can get it to do it at home, then pull out a tester and start testing connections. Those types of intermittent problems can be a real pain to track down thought.
