Car runs funny after WOT

It's hard to describe. After I go WOT I go to the next gear to cruise and the car doesn't want to spool and the exhaust note is kinda like a humming tone.

After I cruise for just a minute it will clear up. The car will all the sudden spool and be back to normal.

I've assumed it was just flooded but I'm really not sure. I'm running SPOautos map but it did this before on the Pettit ecu too.

Any ideas or things I can try? TIA

I have no experience with any similar problems, but I thought maybe the turbo control actuator (or one of the others) is sticking open. i.e., it opens when you go WOT but then is slow to close. Just a thought.

(I'm assuming you're still sequential of course).

That's exactly what I was going to say. After you go WOT and transition, the actuator has the prespool door fully open, then you let off and it sticks open. Now since it's stuck open you have no prespool and the primary wont spool up.

These guys are good. Sounds like sticking wastegate actuator.

My car does the same thing, but I'm non-seq. It started doing it after mod too. Any ideas on that one?

That does make sense. I would have never thought about it.

Thanks

Even though it's non-seq, it still has the wastegate actuator. Same theory applies. You go WOT, then let off. But the actuator sticks, leaving the wastegate open. This would bleed off needed pressure at lower rpms, before your peak boost is reached.

I just think GsrSol's is the pre-spool, cause I've heard of them going out more than the wastegate actuator. It could be either one though.

mine does that if I shift at mid rpm sometimes, ususally in 2nd or 3rd gear. if I put it in neutral and back in gear its normal again.

Kinda weird.
