Car ran fine till I went to mazda dealership

So the fd has been driving well for past few months. drove about 50 miles from a friends house and decided to stop by a mazda dealership so my girlfriend could test drive an rx8. Drove it. Went to the car. Car wont' start now. It cranks. Trys to hit maybe once but thats the only sign of life. I put starter fluid in it. Run for about 5 seconds. Then dies. ISC makes weird buzzing noise now. De flooded, nothing. Tow start, nothing... I'm out of ideas

Fuel pump on its way out mang? They tend to die at the most inopportune times.

Do you have gas in it?

Did you try jumping the F/P in the diagnostic port, or try jumping the circuit relay?

So, Now I don't get fuel. I do when I jump the diagnostic. and the car runs...when it actually turns over. Now i'm having a different issue. When I try to start...Nothing. The rpm jumps once and my aftermarket boost gauge turns on and off....but no clicking or cranking. When it finally does crank, it'll start as long as i have the fuel pump in diag connected.

So which relay/electrical...whatever do i need to check??

Your 7 got jelous that you where driving in an inferior rotary vehical, maybe it thought you where trading her in. The 7 is a very sensative old girl, you need to talk sweet nothing-ness into its gauge cluster about how she's the only one.

You get it figured out?

This has got to be a first - just driving on to the dealer lot broke your 7.

Most people (including me) have had to pay $$ for that privilege.

Yup, bypassing security relay got rid of the no crankin issue. Now, it seems my relay for the fuel pump is sticking. Guessing its due to this cold weather? It stopped running again today so i jumped the diag fuel thing. Didn't work. Heard relay click so i kept clicking it a bit and voila, heard the pump come back to life. Seems like a gamble everyday to drive her.

Get a Walbro. They work fine.

You could even get artsy-craftsy and rig a dual pump setup.
