Car Is Idleing At 3200 Rpm What Gives
HEY all i did the fast idle cam thing and nothing happend i recently swapped uim and i put everthing together did i leave something off, i checked my fule wire to the tb and that was fine, but i still have this 3000 rpm crap if anybody can help please tell me what is wrong, also i dont know if it helps but the only thing new is a arc intake and i pluged up the pipe that went to the air pump so please again can you help
Does it sustain that idle speed for a long time? Sure it isn't just the 3k warm up?
If your intake was fucked up I would think it would idle lower than normal and borderline stall so that doesn't make much sense.
When you turn the idle adjustment screw does it have any effect?

I had the same problem....its most likely a kinked throttle cable...heres how you tell.
Start the car and let it idel at 3000 or whatever and have someone else sit in the driver seat and watch the rpms. Go to both the cables and force the thing they attach to all the way down (aka close up the butterflies inside all the way) If the idle drops your cables are too tight/kinked.

Did you happen to make remove or adjust the TPS? If so you may want to look at this thread:
