Car has a loping idle when clutch pushed in while moving

I push the clutch in and 95% of the time the RPM drops down to 500 or so RPMs and then will have a "loping" going from 500 to 1500 RPM about 4 times then picks up idle and its like nothing has happened. Other 5% of the time the car will just die or work normally.

It happens whether or not the car is in gear, I can catch it by applying some gas but if I catch it then let off the gas it will still lope a couple times.

My clutch switch works, messed with the throttle cable tension (didnt help). Thought maybe I messed something up with my tuning skills so I put all the stock settings back in that area of the map and that didnt help either.

Everything else is running fine which is why I haven't messed with the TPS, but maybe thats it? Reading off the commander are at idle .41 and .81.

Didn't see this exact problem while searching, if I missed something show me please.

Maybe the IAC valve is getting stuck?

I cleaned maybe 700-1000 miles ago. I will still check it when I get to the car.

Any other ideas?

how do you know the clutch switch is working? they will still push in and out even when the spring breaks, just won't push out far enough to open the connection.

i've rebuilt my clutch switch about 4 or 5 times with a spring from a ball point pen. works every time... for about 8 or 9 months.

Im going by the fact the PFC sensor page shows it as working, saw that in a couple other threads dealing with this type issue.

When you found yours was broken did the PFC still report it as working?

Ok Id love to post what I did to fix this but I can't.

I checked the TPS, IAC (changed it out even) and looked for leaks but everything was as it should be. Also made the dashpot engage a lot sooner even though it was working beforehand.

Found my fast idle cam "gearing" was basically locked in place so I lubed it up and worked it for a few minutes to make it movable. This changed nothing. Finally messed with my TB butterfly's and got the car to idle 2500rpm and this fixed the loping issue but I don't want and shouldn't have a 2500rpm idle.

Which lead me to disengage the fast idle totally and this gave me a 1500rpm idle with no loping. No matter what I did to try to lower the idle it would not go lower, the car would just die. So I gave up and decided Ill live with it as is. The next day I started it up and saw the idle was steady 1100rpm (what its supposed to be) drove it some and saw when I came to a stop that the idle was back around 1500rpm BUT when I turned the lights on the idle dropped to a very steady 1100rpm.

So, I give up lol. Just thought Id post what Ive done so far in case someone else has this problem.

Im having this problem too now except its not constant. Maybe every 2 or 3 times when i clutch in from being in gear.

I checked my clutch switch and like someone said, it could still be broken but may not push out far enough. Looked fine to me when i checked it though.

I am going to take it apart and found out, i bet the spring is broken.

I adjusted the dashpot, maybe it needed adjustment. I need to test drive the car before i adjust anymore things. I also cleaned some of the grounds i added, moved some to better spots etc etc. I hope that helped a bit.

I checked the clutch switch too and mine felt fine, not rough or anything and my Commander showed it as working.

I felt my dashpot was working before but now I really see it working, it seems to take over at around 4500 rpm or so.
