Car hard to start
When I start my car in the morning it has no problem starting. As soon as the car gets hot and I have been driving for a half hour to an hour and then shut it off it has a hard time starting. It will turn over fine but it won't start the first time. It usually takes two times before it will start. It runs fine otherwise. What could be the problem.

there's been quite a few post on this, try searching for "hot starts."
i had a similiar problem a month or two back. started fine in the morning, but once the engine was hot it was hard to start, and the idle was real rough for the firts 10 or so seconds once it started....
things i'm aware of...
1. low compression...trouble starting the car once it's warm is a sign of low compression
2. try changing fuel filter/plugs/etc. some people have had success with this.
3. the fuel pressure regulator might be bad. try pushing in the gas pedal all the way in and then try starting it. (search for a post by rynberg)
as for me, it might have just been a bad tank of gas or something....my warm start problem went away.
good luck

Hmm...I don't think it's the compression thing. My engine was just rebuilt, and I've experienced this very same problem.
Of course, now that I've had a nice dyno-tune..I haven't experienced it this week so far. Interesting.

how many miles are on the motor? mine has a hot starting problem because of low compression. i havent pulled the plugs or fuel filter, but i know my motor is on its way out. its not that bad, i just crank it giving it a tiny bit of gas and she starts all the time.

Dude...just wanted to let you know..that ever since my dyno tune..I haven't had ONE problem with the car. It was running pretty lean...so perhaps that could be part of the problem with yours.
