Well went back to the site today.. no glass or FG on the ground. They must have driven it away. There is no way to tow my car w/o taking off the front bumper even with a flat bed. They would have to crack the front to get tow hooks under so they had to get in and drive it.

So much for the Hofco anti-carjacking button.

Damn bro, sorry to hear that. I hope you find those low life *****! I know you'll build another monster RX7. If it makes you feel any better, my 94 Integra got stolen in 98 and I had no insurance. Lost the car & about $15,000 in mods. Well, if you find who it was and need a hand, give me a call.

Yea we'll see what happends...if i don't get the car back gotta find a new one. I still have the KnightSports flare kit at the paint shop waiting and I already called most of my sponsors this weekend and told them I'll prob be needing more parts again so all is....so so. HKS, Volk are willing to responsor a new car and so is KnightSports. Gonna stilll suck going through all the hassel to find a new one and do all the LABOR againl. If i make extra money I'm gonna get a beater car to drive to sets now......like a '79 Civic cvcc ahah.

But it still depends on my insurance company. I have comprehensive but if i total all the retail prices of the crap on my car it's almost 25k....no insurance company is going to like that.

Was it parked on Forest Lawn facing east (oppposite side of the street from the studio)??

If so, I saw it on my way home from work which was close to 7pm last night. Don't know if that helps at all, but, at least it gives you a better time frame as to when it left.

I'm so sorry, I'll keep a look out in the area.

... man, that's way too close to home.

SON OF A BITCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got to my car about 7 so I just missed my ****** car!!!!!!!!!!!! Yup that was my car you saw.

That's the thing about Forest Lawn people drive too fast to notice anything suspicious. Plus it's near two freeways.

Hey RotaryKnight

Sorry to hear the news. Parking around the studios can be a bitch. You may want to check out the inpound yards. Did the police do a search for you? You'll be surprised how clean they can pull a car a flat bed. Just a thought!

Supposedly they checked to see if the car was in any of the inpound systems but guess not.

The flat bed thing is a tough one though I've flat bedded my car a few times and you kinda have to damage the car or take the bumper off. I didn't see any FG or paint chips at the site.

My guess is that they somehow by-passed the alarms, slim-jimmed it, and either hot wired it or stuck a screwdriver in the ignition?? You never know though..

Yea crappy thing is that i had the Hofco thinggy that kills the car after 1 min if you don't press the hidded button then worn't restart till you press the button even if you have the keys. I know it was working cuz it killed on me a couple days ago when i forgot to press it.

Just in shock...

Man ... for someone to know about that button and everything, it sounds like someone you know.

Best of luck with it, Chris.

shitty thing is that only a very few people know of that button. And I don't work a 9-5 and i'm never at the same place. Not like they could wait for me.

Oh another great thing when I went to the police station to fill out the report the officer has my car as a "MAZADA RX-7"

Yea good luck gettin my car back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Slim-Jimming a 7 aint easy....they must have been pretty good at what they do, espciailly if it's as random an act as you suspect.

The whole button thing, like DK said is fishy. In addition to that AAA people couldnt slim jim my car...maybe someone made a copy of the key somehow (some fucked up guy who did work on ur car, maybe?)?

Yeah, how did that happen? It must be someone that knows you and your car. Either that, or maybe your car is sitting disabled on a nearby street? Or maybe your evil twin did it?

RotaryKnight,

That sucks really bad, i had a turbo II stolen from me in jersey a year ago and it happend during the summer. To say the least it ruined my summer until i got the insurance $$. Then i bought my FD with some of the $$ i got from the insurance company. Anyway insurance companies wont settle on paying you out until 30 days go by and its still missing. It seems in your case who ever stole your car knew what they were up against with the alarms. Maybe someone made a key at a shop where it was at??? Or how about the people who installed the alarm, those people are very inclined to know how to by-pass stuff quickly. And they did it in broad day light!!! These people KNEW what they were doing it sounds like. Keep an eye out and i really wish you the best of luck finding it. When they found my old turbo II the engine was blown, my alpine radio gone, CD's gone, radar detector gone, and dinged the **** out of the top of the car, and apparently didnt get to the chop shop in Newark NJ (car theft capital of the east coast) where they could strip it down. I now have a beater car to drive every day and only use the FD for weekend drives. I never park it anywhere but inside my garage where its locked up! There was a couple FD's stolen here in Jersey maybe about 6 months or so ago. Its a shame you cant have nice things, ******** have to take other peoples stuff from them. Even if you dont catch who did it i am sure one way or another, those people will get theres in the end. Fuckem i firmly believe in carma which is how you treat others is how you get treated with in luck and in life in general.

Actually I use towing alot, for various stupid things... like a broken AST, accidents, and flat tires. But on my last tow my front end was really messed up and would have been impossible to get on a flatbed, so I was kinda dumbstruck what to do. So I tell the guy I did'nt want him to scractch it, so what can he do? He called for a regular tow truck that had dollies on them. First they jack up your rear, then set up skates around your two front tire and then they jack them up. And I was pretty impressed, nothing touched the ground and it was much less herrendous then wacthing your car go on or off a flat bed. So maybe they towed it that way, but if some said they saw someone drive off with it, then oh well. You learned something

FlatBed = long hours, and could still do damage = NO
Tow Trucks with Dollies = Quick, and more avalible = YES

Anyways good luck on this if there is such a thing
