because i just bought the battery and i all lights turn on without having to turn on the car without dimming, and another thing when driving when i hit the brakes the lights dim even when charging with a jump start it will still dim.

you think it can be a bad ground or a short

did you go by... say... autozone and ask them to test your battery? my first one didn't last but 6 months... does the motor crank normally w/o making any odd noises or sounding like it is losing a little power?

I had a similar problem. I disconnected the negative terminal a couple of times to swap ECUs and didn't put it back on with sufficient contact. My lights and everything worked, but it couldn't pull enough amps to crank. Tighten and clean your terminals and drive it for a while to charge it up. If it works with a jump start, you're only bypassing your battery, so its got to have something to do with the battery or its connections.

I had similiar problems with my FD...Turns out it was a bad ground to the motor, and it toasted the little ground from the UIM to the firewall from trying to crank it. I also moved my battery to the rear. There are tons of places to ground on back there. I have rear seats, but, I would suspect that the bins bolt in the same as the seats do. I took an eyelet, big enough to fit around the cable, and removed one of the 2 bolts that bolt the seat down, underneath the cargo mat. I have no problems as of yet..good luck
