Car dies when boost hits?

Hey guys. Just looking for a little help.

My car falls on it's face and dies as soon as boost hits. The second there is positive manifold pressure the motor stops. It feels like either fuel or ignition stops. I don't know which it is.

Any idease would be a huge help.

Details:

'93 Touring FD 5 speed.
GT35R single turbo
850 primarys
1600 secondarys
Front mount.
Apex Power FC
Apex AVC-R
PLX wide band
Defi gauges

Any boost at all huh? Well, it's unlikely, but if your plugs are really really really gapped incorrectly the boost can blow out the spark. That happened at 20 psi on my plugs gapped at over .030 but seems really unlikely with lower boost levels. Perhaps your MAP sensor is going bad and the ECU is falling on it's face? Any other symptoms? Smoke, etc.?

I'm using the stock map sensor. I tried changing out the map sensor and the Power FC with replacements that I know are good.

No other symptoms that I can think of. The wide band is kind of all over the place. I thought it was a tuning issue. The vehicle was in process of being tuned when this happened.

It did back in the day, but not since it's been a single turbo.

1.) Could be that your secondaries are stuck closed. That's the problem I'm experiencing with mine right now.

2.) Does a Power FC have a limp mode that can be activated via codes in the same way that the factory ECU can be?

3.) Are TPS readings within spec when compared to the FSM?

Excellent. Thanks for the ideas. I'll try to check the injectors. Why would they be stuck closed?
I don't think the Power FC has a limp mode.
I'll definately check the TPS readings. I was seeing inconsistant readings within the Power FC.

I have been reading that a number of people have been having problems with the 1300cc secondaries injectors getting stuck apparently as a result of the boring process used in taking an 850 up to 1300. I know you're running 1600's but it could be the same thing. Don't quite know why they get stuck, but it has happened. It appears that my newly cleaned and flowed stock secondary injectors are stuck so anything is possible man....especially with an FD!
