Car died, any ideas?

I was about to get onto the highway on ramp when the motor died. I was in 3rd gear going at a medium pace. Didn't even boost yet cause just got out of the neighborhood. When I got out to check it out, I saw some sort of liquid in the exhaust tip that was smoking and white in color.

I tried starting it but no go.

Also, this happened a few days after I refilled the antifreeze, but the one time I drove it after refilling, it felt fine.

Any ideas?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Victor

White exhaust usually means coolant so it's possible you might have a coolant o-ring failure. Search the forum for symptoms of o-ring failure and do the champagne bubble test.

A few days before I refilled the antifreeze, I had an overheat problem. The car started smoking near the overflow reservoir and liquid was bubbling out of the AST and I could hear bubbling at the overflow reservoir.

I hope it's not a major problem cause this was rebuilt not too long ago.

Unfortunately, I agree. Rebuild time.

But it is always a great and best idea to pressure test your cooling system before replacing the motor.
