I'm leaning now towards my fuel pump being bad.

I can hear the relay switch on and off when I turn the ignition on and off.

Shoulda tried tampafd's suggestion earlier. I had my roommate put his ear up to a funnel in the gas tank, and turned the ignition on and off, he couldn't hear anything. Also jumped the fp and gnd at the diagnostic box, nothing at all.

The clicking on and off while driving of the relay worried me, and I guess it may have led to the premature death (10k miles) of my Supra TT fuel pump.

Right now I don't have any way to test my pump, but will get a tester tomorrow and pull it out.

99.99% sure it's the pump. I'm getting spark, cause I took off the bov and sprayed some starting fluid into the elbow and the car started right up.

Ok, now I'm thoroughly confused.

Got another fuel pump. Put it in, started for a second, then died, then nothing.

I've tested EVERYTHING, removed my relay to the pump, and put the wires back to original.

Where I'm at now: jumping the fp and gnd wires on the diag box, I get power to the white 4 prong connector that goes down into the tank. I hooked the old and new fuel pumps directly to a battery, and both of them work. I CANNOT get power hooking up a test light to the + and - terminals on the pump while ignition is on.

So it has power going into the connector on the cover of the pump, but the power doesn't extend down to the two terminals on the pump in the tank.

How would a simple electrical connector like that go bad? I sanded down the terminals just in case that was it, but still no power.

first the pump only gets power from the ignition in the on position for a few seconds then shuts off due to no rpm's being registered. when you shut it off for 20-30 sec it will turn on again briefly then shut off. to test for power at the pump someone needs to crank it for you while you probe the wire with a test light. the relay may be craping out on you.

Nah, I jumped the fuel pump at the diag box, so power is continuously fed to it.

and you got no power at the harness? or at the end of the pump sub-harness? i mean where is the last point you know you have power at?

Last point power is good is the harness going to the pump. The 4 prong connector that plugs in to the thing that goes down to the pump. Don't know the name for it.

So the problem is either with the connector attached to the cover of the fuel pump assembly, or the wires that go down to the terminals of the pump, or those spade connectors.

ok so when you pull the pum and the top cover off and out of the car like you are going to replace the pump you have power in the car? on the pump assembly is a short harness ,pump sub harness, there you have no power? you can check to see if it is open with an ohm meter but if you have power and a good ground at the harness on the car the sub harness on the pump assembly might be bad

That's what I'm thinking. I'm gonna replace the spade connectors that go to the pump terminals, and if that doesn't work try to find a new sub harness.

Got it at a local Toyota dealer, it's a Supra Turbo pump. Hopefully they'll let me return it since it's an electrical item.

If not I'll throw it up on eBay.
