the factory cover fits perfectly! probably also the best quality cover you can get. its a bit pricey though, but you'll be real happy with it.

I know this doesn't help now, but there was a new factory cover in the bag on ebay last week for $50 buck or so.

I'll second that - The factory cover fits like a glove, it even has built in pockets for the mirrors, is available taliored to fit w/ or w/o a stock wing, and is made with a very high quality material.

Yep, and it's about 65 bucks. It's the lightweight car cover, water resistant but not weatherproof.

Yeah, I was the one that bought it. I can let you know how I like it when I get it in the mail.

I researched car covers over the summer, and the best I could find seemed to be Covercraft. They've got a bunch of different fabrics that handle various weather conditions, but expect to pay at least $150 or so for a good cover. AutoSeattle.com had competitive prices and the guys were nice to deal with.

Click on Custom-Fit Covers to see fabrics and prices. If I remember correctly, the RX-7 is a size MD, and they've got custom patterns for with- and without spoilers (you won't specify this until you call them... don't order off the net). Unfortuately, I can't give an opinion on the quality, as I never bought one. I've got an aftermarket wing and nose, and the best they could do was to sew an additional skirt all the way around the car. But, at least they're willing to work with you.

Factory car covers ARE available, or were available as of last month. 7 left in the country.

I have a factory cover which fits base and touring models w/o the rear wing which I can no longer use cause of my RB wing. If anyone wants it, feel free to PM or email *blackttrx7@aol.com*
