Lately my car has been having a hard time starting at times and when I hit the brake pedal the radio cuts out for a split second then comes right back. It still has its settings and all that.
The other day I tried starting the car and it wouldnt start at all without a jump but drove fine after that all the way home. The next morning I went to start it up and I only hear the starter solenoid clicking, nothing else at all. The starter doesnt even try to turn, only a click everytime I try to start the car.
I ran a wire from the clipped wire on the starter to tap onto the alternator. Still just clicking.
It seems like a dead battery but it won't start even with a jump. The battery is only a few months old and the starter was changed with the battery also. Any other suggestions? This car is pissing me off haha.

+1 on checking security relay and clutch switch... the fact that you are having trouble with your radio also though sounds like you have some other electrical problems as well.
Make sure the connections to the battery are clean and tight. Could also be one or some of your ground wires are loose or corroded... there are threads that show where most of the major grounds are.
Good Luck!

This is the thread I was talking about.

When a starter clicks, its usually a dying/dead batt, loose connection on batt, and/or starter or the starter going itself.
If battery is fully charged and you confirmed connections to be tight, your starter is shot.

guys if he did indeed run a jumper wire frm the starter solenoid to the batt pos+ (assuming the battery is good) and it still clicks it is not the security/clutch switch or anything else in the normal starter circuit
OP has the battery been relocated or anything? what work has been done lately?
the brake pedal/radio could be a symptom of a weak battery/low charging alternator
check your battery terminals make sure they are tight and clean.
also make sure the starter main power cable is tight on the starter (do so with the battery neg disconnected at least)

You have the exact same symptom and the culprit is your battery. My friend's FD have the exact same problem, when you brake it would cut out. It has gotten to a point where even if you jump start it, it will cause a huge load on the alternator which the car would not stay on anymore. Get a new battery and test your alternator out. Good luck.
P.S. Do as Mad_7tist suggested. However I would start with a new battery.

It ended up being the starter, even though it was only 6 months old. Got a new one under warranty and need to install it tomorrow. The radio issue is something else I guess. Thanks to SpeedNYC (Roan) for lending me a working starter to test with.
