Capping vs Removing + Resistors for Solenoids

I'm in the process removing emissions and running the simplified sequential vacuum lines. From what I've read most people remove the solenoids not needed, and run a resistor on the electrical connectors to prevent codes from being thrown.

I'll be getting a PFC eventually, but for now I'm on the stock ECU. My preference is to not have the wires and connectors floating in the engine bay with resistors connected and some tape over them for protection. I haven't really found a clear answer in the millions of other simplified sequential threads, but can I just cap the solenoids and reconnect them without problems?

I would like to have them capped so dirt/grime etc do not get inside them, and it looks cleaner, but will having both ends of the solenoids capped create an issue?

Thanks in advance.

yep you can totally leave the solenoids plugged into the harness, and you can cap them with no problems as well.
