okay here the problem, when i take off hard in 1st and start going i shift into second but the tranny doesnt go into second but the shifter does, when i let off the clutch the tranny is in no gear but the shifter is in second. Now when i drive normal and dont get on it very hard it goes into gear fine. just picture yourself taking off in 1st and hamering on it and go to shift to second and when you let off the clutch the motor revs up but its not in gear but the shifter is. after it does this i can push the clutch in, take it out of second and then but it back in and let off the clutch its fine. It only does this when i try to really take off fast. im going to pull the tranny cover off and see if i see any prob. any info would be apreciated. thanks.

Bent shift fork ? Maybe to much clearance between shift fork and clutch hub sleeve .

 

Check up thru inspection holes on condition of fork.

sounds like your clutch might be slipping.

 

i know the clutch isn't slipping, im going to check on it as soon i can. any more info is appreciated. thanks.

I was going to add on the slipping. Only 2nd gear? hummmmm more info is appreciated from you. You said that the shifter goes into second but not the tranny, correct? so it just revs the complete time? I mean you could stop the car on the spot and the shifter would be in 2nd but it would sit and rev?

clutch fork, slipping... hummm or something a little more raunchy..
