Do Canadian FDs measure mileage in kilometers or miles?

Some dude from Canada had posted he was lookin' at a car with what I read as 80,000 km and asked about the engine needing rebuilt.

80,000 kilometer is only what....50,000 miles?

1.6 kms = 1 mile

80 000/1.6 = 50 000

80 000 kms = 50 000 miles
