Is it possible to port the stock wastegate or do i need to get an aftermarket one?

i was told by someone very rotor knowledgable (sp) that porting the wastegate wont help with boost creep/spike when changine from cats to mid pipe. any insight? this was someone who i offered to pay to do it while my motor was apart....

 

If you have an open exhaust system then port the hole bigger and put in a bigger door .Mine is open to 1.380 with a bigger door . The prespool door is 1/10 inch bigger than the wastegate door .I have made doors bigger than those for the rich man non seq mod .

 

By the way my car has no cats with the BNR stage 3 supersized , the only set, 16lbs and the rich man mod .No creep ,so I say it works and none of my customers have complained about creep after porting with a bigger door .
