Looks like the connector for the fan control box which was part of the cooling recall.

it was under the dash if that helps anyway. The wire gauge is about 16-18 ga.

Dave,

Two black plugs on an automatic go to the automatic computer (EC-AT). One from the engine harness, one from up under the dash. There is also a third that the fan control box hooks into.

I have a question about this same subject. First of all, your connector plugs into this box here. I can't tell you where the box can be found becuase I don't know where mine goes. Can anyone tell us where the box is supposed to go? I am putting my car back together from a pile of parts (I did not own it in an assembled state) and I'm not sure where this bit goes.

thanks,
James

the box goes in a little spot behind the passenger kick panel. it's either right behind the ECU or slightly above it. You should see a plastic holder for it. With the ECU out it's easy to see where it goes.

Now for my own question does anyone know where the bottom most wire plugs in? The single black one with a tab type connector? (see above pic) My guess is it goes to somthing with the glove box, because my glove box is removed and i see no other place for it.

It doesn't plug into anything.

Diagnostic line for the cooling fans. This is the wire which is used in the "Fan Mod".
