Can you adjust TPS off of the car?

Hey all!

The title sums up the question, but I'll give a few details.

Doing the Non-Seq. conversion, and while I'm at it, doing all the block off plates, TB coolant, etc. I had to remove the TPS to take the thermowax assembly off, pretty much what Damian did in his thread on TPS adjustment.

I was wanting to see if I can adjust it with the UIM off of the car, because I am installing the Power FC as well. This is the first time that I will be installing it, so I know it has to go through the "learning" mode first. I have also removed the rats nest and unplugged all the associated solenoids.

So should I install everything with the power fc and adjust it then?

Or should I leave the stock ECU in place for this adjustment? I did not plan on putting resistors on, because I thought I read that it wasn't necessary with the Power FC.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

You could adjust it off the car but the TPS still needs to be plugged into the harness when you do so. That means there's pretty much no use in doing it off the car.
