You mean the Bathurst (which is based off the Type R). The type R is just a standard production model like the type RS. The Bathurst R pages are also still up too.

Ah...ok..but wasn't it just a year ago? I remember seeing a 2001 Type RZ white with Red Recaro Seats. Damn...don't tell me it's been two years already since it was on the Mazda site. Anyway, hey J-Spec what book is that? Is that a magazine or what??

Its just a couple pages from the Japanese 1992 RZ brochure. The '92 year RZ's are easy to spot since they were the only RZ model with 16inch wheels(and in gunmetal to boot) Most every year RZ models were just a part of the regular Mazda lineup(exception being the 2001 RZ of which only 175 were made, all white). Here's a page from my 1998 Japanese brochure with that-years RZ model:

They did have a 2001 RZ. It's in one of my Rev Speed mags. Oh big rumor from my friend who aorks at Mazda RnD is the the Rx-7 may be brought back as a Limited Edition. It will be a newer Spec but with out all the extra flare like the Recaros and crap like that. Of course it is a rumor. But at least it's from a credible source not Jonny the sales guy at the dealership ahahah.

Also the Rx-8 isn't gettin much or a hoorah by the japanese market either. Like us they preferre the 7.

No one said there wasn't a 2001 RZ(and if you read what I wrote above, I noted it as a special limited edition of 175 in white only)

Unfortunately, that rumor isn't true. You might want to read the interview RotaryNews.com did last month with a Mazda Exec saying that it won't happen and that the 3rd gen will stop production in just a couple more months. The logistics and finance$$$'s just aren't there

yes there is a 2001 Type RZ. It came out in the late 2000. It's a limited edition. Only 175 were made. Mazda Japan had a site for the Type RZ. But they took it down when the Type R Bathurst first come in. By the way, the special Type R Bathurst yellow already all sold out.

Anyone had the Type R Bathurst logo picture?

No such thing as a yellow Type R Bathurst. You're confusing the Bathurst R with the Bathurst. The Bathurst R came first(LE of 500 with yellow as an option) followed by the Bathurst.

So which logo are you referring to? bathurst or Bathurst R?

Bathurst R logo:
