Can i swap Auto for Manual Tranny?

I am about to buy a 93 RX7 but it is automatic, the only reason im still looking at it is b/c of the price! So would i be able to swap the automatic for a manual trannny. If so who has done this? And how much did it cost?Thanx you

i hear it can be done but it generally isn't worth it and if you know you want a manual, buy a manual

maybe if the auto was 50% less than a 5speed...

something about different bell housing? joining trans to eng. means bolts don't line up

think some searches will answer your Q faster

Yes is can be done. I did mine a year ago, and it was worth every cent! Everything bolts right up, the hardest part is finding all the parts.

For the money you will spend doing a auto to manual swap it will be more cost efficient to just buy thr manual and be done with it.
