You have all that stuff on your car and you can't figure out how to replace the AST?

If I rember right its pretty easy. All the bolts that hold it on are plainly visible, just disconnect the hoses (watch out for coolant coming out), and the bolts holding it on. Then put the new one on. and reconnect everything. Thats all.

hahaha good point, unless you didn't do the work yourself.

BTW it shouldn't cost very much for a shop to do it, but why waste your money? It should only take you 15-30 minutes to do on your own.

It's a joke job in my opinion. You need some pliers for the clamps ... I think you have to actually cut the bottom line off at the base since it's theoretically melted on. You'll probably need a wrench or ratchet to get a few nuts and bolts off. Oh and you'll want to clamp off the three coolant lines so that they don't spew coolant everywhere (the bottom one, at least). I wouldn't pay anyone to do it, but I don't pay anyone to do anything.

Yeah that is a really good point ... I don't even look at signatures because I don't care about someone's bling, so I didn't notice. Damn ... that's sad.

bought the car recently with most of the work already done, and it sounds like i should have no problem replacing the AST on my own. Thanks for the help guys.
