can this hose cause boost issues?

was installng radiator which was a pita.....While I was installing I notice that this hose was crimped any idea is this could be causing my 2psi issue. Im installing check valves tomorrow or monday also. Im just looking for advice because the hose does not look oem. Thanks again

Your ribbed plastic tube has a hole in it, and that kinked hose isnt ideal.

That's the stock blow off valve. That hose is some bobo parts store made up hose. It SHOULDN'T cause a boost issue, but that's some terrible crap. That hose WILL fail and leak at some point.

Read my recent thread on a silicone replacement hose for that - it's about $18 and has a molded 90 degree bend.

96fd3s, I think the ribbed hose with a hole may just be a trick in the picture, I think the hose is actually OK. That's the primary turbo intake hose, a hole there will mean the engine sucking in unfiltered air but that's it.

Have you checked the coupler on the Y-pipe? That's a super common culprit, it splits and leaks. A 2.75" silicone coupler solves that problem fast.
