Can this car REALLY make 320BHP?

Heres an FD on ebay. It may be just me, but with the way the engine bay looks, i strongly doubt this car makes the claimed 320 BHP...I guess the bucket seats help alot in horsepower...check it out and letme knwo what you guys think

read the describtion well.....

1. thing that says this is bullshit is the fact that is says "2.6 liter TT special edition"... that should pretty much be a big red light with a siren... im pretty sure the only 2.6L rotary is the 26B.. and i doubt it has a 4 rotor

2. 46,000mi. on it and its going for 5k (USD)

3. well... ITS 5k (USD)!!

I don't think it has 320 bhp, but the 2.6l rotary, that is how the "britts" have it in their papers for the car... something to do with missunderstanding about the 1300cc (x 2)... :/

Yeah, 2.6l is legit over here in England (going to have to register mine as a 2.6l once it ships over).

That price is pretty low too.. almost enough to make me want to go down there looking for a parts car ^_^

I would say definitely *NOT* 320 bhp though. It looks like the only thing he has changed is the filters on the intake, everything else looks stock. Not sure that a different filter would account for an additional 65 bhp...

"Special addition, Import, Efini Model, 320+BHP"

Special addition? The car does math?

Some people claim BHP vs RWHP so BHP would be before drivetrain losses are figured. Intake & exhaust "straight through" i'll buy that it makes 320 at the flywheel- probably 260-280ish at the wheels.

^^^260-280 rwhp looks reasonable. Even though only one picture opened (front left side) in the link, the car looks decent, I'm not really a big fan of that wing, but other that that it seems ok, Can't say anything about the engine bay, as the pic didn't work.

There is still a lot of confusion even in NA when it comes to calculating displacement. Some argue that it's a 2.6 even though mazda said it's 1.3 I personally came across a couple of people who came up with I guess reasonable arguments that it should be a 2.6

I believe it. Intake and exhaust gets you there.

The fact that each chamber fires each revolution of the shaft, unlike a normal 4 stroke where only half fire. so a 2 liter takes 2 revolutions to actually have 2 liters of displacement combustion. where as a rotary only takes one revolution (of the eccentric shaft) to create combustion of it's full displacement.

Please, in the name of all that's holy lets not start *that* discussion.
