Can a 2002 spirit R be converted to LHD?

This thread and all others concerning importation of RX-7s to the states should be locked/deleted.

LOL, it's more like we have a lower tolerance for questions that concerning "JDM" stuff appearing weekly that could have been answered with a simple search.
Ok everyone,
I am sorry for ever posting this subject as it seems that it is better to have 3 pages of wasted bandwith then to just help someone that has a common interest....for the future, it would be better for the fd owners to show some class instead of making someone feel unwelcomed....A simple post saying search would have helped me more than this thread.....thanks anyway and have a nice life

It is hard to convert to exact same as original RHD spirit R. The vacume system is abit different. They have made the rat nest abit simpler with a new vacume box. Plus the ECU is different too. You can make the car look the same, but not exactly the same. We have done many RHD convert to LHD. We know...

In addition to the links above, I know fo two others for sale in Japan (one A, one B). There is also one for sale in NZ, and one for sale in Australia.
definitely buy-able - the rest, I have no idea.
fwiw, they seem to be selling for close to the original sticker price - @ about 3.7 mill (for the good ones). Original price, on road, was a touch over 4 mill. (talking yen, obviously).
Japan is your best bet, in terms of price, as the aus/nz ones have no idea of a realistic price (depending on what your perspective is on 'rarity')

Even if it WERE sensible to get a Spirit R to the states/Canada, Why convert it to a LHD??? Then it's just another North American RX7 with 280hp Turbo's... (sorta
)

but every part of the car is 2002 - the turbos, the motor, the (updated) rad/ast, all the moving bits, all the rubber bits, suspension parts, the plastics, seats. Everything is (almost) fresh. I guess most north americans don't get the opportunity to sit in an (almost) new FD... it's nice!
and it is one of very few FDs which are truly collectable, and which may, one day, possibly, maybe, maybe, appreciate in price.

a simple post is exactly what you got... it might have been from 30 people eager to tell you to search and maybe throw in a newb reference in as well...

If you are serious about it, start putting up, and do something about it. No more talk. If you guys want to keep spitting game, and talk about how cool it would be to have a Spirit R, than prove me wrong. Otherwise, STFU.
