camber/toe = wheelhop?

okay, i've recently replaced all my pillowball bushings, my toe links, trailing arms, got pettit poly diff bushings, and a kaaz diff. i had a really bad problem with wheelhop before and i still seem to have quite a bit. the only thing i haven't replaced is my shocks. i did notice i have quite a bit of camber from my H&R springs and my toe needs to be adjusted a little by a shop. would those be a cause of wheelhop or is it my shocks? or am i just screwed? lol i get really sick of not bein able to give it my all at the track in fear of breaking another axle from wheelhop. also, does anyone know if you can buy just camber plates for the FD, like the ones that come with high end coilover setups? i do a lot of drag racing and am going to be into auto-x a lot next season and would like to have a drag setting and an auto-x setting. thanks!

I have no experience with massive wheel hop on my FD, but I think I've read other posts saying bad diff mounts can also be a real contributor.

I experienced bad wheel hope and it cost me.
Destroyed my diff
I replaced all my pillowball bushings too and installed KAAZ but have stock trailing arms and toe links
Cant tell you if the pillowballs did the job because I am awaiting for my diff so I can install it
Hope you find the problem
By the way how's the KAAZ?

camber/toe = wheel hop?

I had the same problem with wheel hop. First, I pulled the right rear shock [the corner where the problem eminated. No problem on left rear] and examined everything. By the way, this was NOT a definitive test. Then, replaced trailing link [unnecessary], toe link [helped the rear stick much better, but did nothing to solve wheel hop problem]; replaced diff with another rebuilt unit [no effect whatsoever]; installed Pettit solid diff bushings [reduced the violence of the wheel hop, but it was still there]; changed rubber and realligned the car [0 effect]; and finally, installed a diff brace.

Check out this thread: https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...hreadid=242470

With the diff brace the hop was eliminated from all situations I care about and that does NOT include burnouts, which I do not give a rodents behind about 'cause I don't drag race. It will still do a hop/skip from a burnout [which I did as a test only], meaning that the underlying problem remains, but its impacts have been reduced to nothing in my range of driving.

Shocks?? What are your shocks? Original, non-R1? Koni Sports? Both have low compression , higher rebound characteristics that can lead to wheel hop.

79CI13B, i love the kaaz with exception of low speed turning, it tends to get kinda harsh sounding. i've learned to deal with it, but passengers say it sounds like my car is falling apart. as far as performance, i couldn't ask for anything better.

DrBob, I am running what I am assuming are the original R1 shocks with H&R springs. I'm thinking the shocks are a little past due for replacement (113k miles) as soon as i scrape up $400, i'm gonna order a new set from malloy and see what that does for me. I will probably end up gettin the diff brace if the shocks don't fix it
