a/c condenser order help asap!
I am currently looking for an a/c condenser and was curious if anyone knows where to order one for a 94 rx7 touring model. i ordered one for $130. from autoparts warehouse and they sent me the wrong one, i went to mazda just to get a quote and it came out to $900.
they made two different types in the making of the 3rd gens [so ive heard] mana and denso, if anyone could help me, i would really appreciate it
also looking for a dryer that attaches to the condenser if someone could help me with that
thanks--kris

i have EVERYTHING you need for AC, im not sure of the condesor though since i bought it i havent opened it , im not sure if its the same as yours that u have now, its still new in the box it came in.
im not sure if your condenser is sealed off, but if possible all i need is a picture of the two fittings on the side of the condenser and what the inside of that fitting looks like
*crosses fingers* god i hope its the right one
Give Ray a call at Malloy Mazda. He helped me pick out the right one when I was looking for an AC drier. He mentioned that all tourings have Japanese installed AC systems, and the threads aren't compatible with the R1 and base model dealer installed AC systems.

alright, so im still stuck on what to do for this a/c system in general. my vin# is canada, i called canada to see what kind of system i have, they dont know--- i ordered a cheapy condenser online and it wouldnt fit with my hoses, so i figured i must have an r12 since the r134 is newer and it would make the most sense.
so as im thinking i have an r12, i take a look at the new compressor i ordered and my lines dont fit in it, i looked at the back of my original compressor and it says r134a--this is just grand, so i find out that i need to figure out if it is dealer installed or factory installed.
damn, this is so aggrivating.
---does anyone know if everything fits if i convert my lines, drier, compressor, condenser,-to a 93 model r12?

There are two issues you need to figure if you intend to change just a couple parts:
1) R-12 vs R134. There should be a sticker under the hood or on the compressor or door jamb sticker. In any case, you need to find out.
2) Mana vs. Denso - these two systems have different fitting sizes. They are not compatible. I think it's the Mana that's supposed to be better performing but the parts are much more expensive.

condenser i ordered--assuming it fits r12

my original

line with o ring
the back of my compressor says denso r134a, but the places ive ordered a compressor and condenser for a 94 my lines wont fit in because the o ring doesnt slide in--so maybe they are sending me what would fit for r12?

First, a little background. FD's in the US came with 2 air conditioning systems - MANA
and Nippondenso. MANA systems were in all non-Touring cars - these systems were
installed at the port when the cars arrived in the US. The system was designed and
supplied by MANA (Mazda North American Operations). Reasons why seem to be due
to extra taxes or cost for bringing the cars over with air conditioning already installed.
Touring models came from Japan with the AC system already installed - the system was
made by Nippondenso, hence the name.
my 94 touring is from canada, so i must have the nippondenso r134 just like the compressor
at least i hope im right, haha.
