buzz in 2nd & 3rd gear 6.5K-7.5K RPM

I have buzz coming from the passenger side of the car that only happens in 3rd gear when I'm WOT accelerating and between 6.0K-7.5K RPM.

This is on a newly installed engine (new gaskets everywhere).

Again the buzz does NOT happen in 1st and 2nd gear.

Boost pattern is 11-8-10.

Whoops, the subject line is wrong.

The buzz only happens in 3rd gear at high-rpms, and it is NOT the rev-limiter buzz. This is definitely something mechancial. Sounds like it somewhere in the exhaust.

The buzzer comes on when you pass 8k. Or IME it does. The buzzer is also on the driver's side and not the passnger's. Especially if it only comes on only in 3rd gear.

Can you explain the buzz more? More detail? What it sounds like? Yeah if you feel stupid, don't. Giving an example of a sound helps people alot more than just imagining their own sound. I made a post once askinf why when I let off the gas, it sounds like someone's blowing their nose. I referred to it as a flutter. I ended up having a sticky bov and replaced it. As I read the replies on the post, a flutter is different than what I was experiencing. So all in all... what does it sound like? .

Might be a loose heat shield - that's a common culprit. The heat shield gets a resonance at that RPM and starts making noise.

I'll be checking the heatshields. Sounds like sheet-metal buzzing . . .
