Buying a used RX7 s6

Hi guys, i want to pick up an Rx while im here working in Japan. just wanted to ask some quick advice.

how can i do a quick engine test while the car is standing still? buying at japanese auctions means you cant actualy take it for a test drive, so i gotta do all i can to check the car while its standing still.

Cheers advance!!

start it... if it idles good and doesn't overheat, that's about as far as you can go with it...in an auction environment anyway.

You can also install a boost gauge and do the KOKO test to see if the turbo control system is operating properly.
