Buying a Salvage FD

Where is a good place to find salvaged or FD's with blown motors for a good price?

I see people finding 93+ RX-7's for 5-8k with minor body damage and blown/leaking motors and I want to build up a motor anyways.

Thanks!

Thanks for the reply, but those are a little too messed up for me. I can fix motors with no problems but I'm not that good with body damage.

Any more suggestions?

There is about one a month on ebay with a blown motor or minor damage.

EBay or the Auto Trader are your best bets. Good luck!

I wouldn't look for a salvage title FD, as most of these will have extensive body damage and who knows what else. There are always a few FDs for sale with blown engines on ebay or autotrader.

I bought my FD as a salvage off the autotrader.com. I had to drive to Oklahoma to pick it up, but I think it was worth it.

The car was envolved in a fire, and I'll be the one rebuilding it. Therefore, I know it was fixed correctly. I'm not great at body work either, I'm simply replacing the F'd up panels with like new panels. Good luck with your search.

Be sure to hit autotrader.com, thepartstrader.com, and EBay daily if you're serious about buying one. They'll go quick when priced to sell.
