You need to learn about FDs. Buying a car over the internet is a complex and somewhat risky transaction, but buying an FD mulitiplies that substantially. The FAQ here is loaded with first-time owners info: https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showthread.php?t=68640
I suggest you not put down any more money than you can afford to lose before you see the car in person and run it. Then pay the balance. Or if that's not possible, find someone *you* trust who knows FDs well to evaluate it for you.

Please use the search function on the top of the page. There are treads every week that have the same title you used. This forum is a plethra of information about rx7's and you will find all the anwsers you need here, but you need to search.

I'm new to the rx7 forum too just take your time with the FD's after you bought it Don't be in the hurry to get those high horsepwer for bragging right. Patience is a virtue especially when it comes to the 7.

be careful for the body ..
they are very fast cars and there are many owners that have no idea what they are doing as a result crashing the car.once they are damaged is difficult to get it back to the normal car.
its better if you go there to check it out
engine can be fixed or replaced in the worst case...the body can not
if you see aftermarket things check why they ve been changed
