High Temps

I just recently installed my m2 intake and pfs smic, after the installation i noticed that my water temps are higher than normal...is this normal? Im seeing around mid 90's (celcious) w/o even driving hard. Any advice on how to get them back down? I usually only see numbers like that after driving hard but now i see them like it's nothing.

Check to make sure that you didn't smash the fan wiring with the intercooler duct. This is a common mistake and is easy to do. Turn your a/c on and make sure both fans are operating.

I don't think mid 90's are bad. I was seeing that kind of temps and was looking through the shop manual to trouble shoot the fan relay. It looks like Mazda wasn't worried about mid 90's. According to the graph (F-144), anything under 105 they have the fan set on low speed and between 105-108 they have it set to medium speed. Unless I'm misunderstanding the information in the manual.

^Agreed. 95 C. isn't bad (~200 F.). But if it's significantly higher than usual, check your fan speeds and that both are working as ryberg suggested. Also consider the FC thermoswitch if you don't already have it.
