Burnin Oil
I took a trip this weekend, it was about 1000 miles round trip and my FD swallowed about 2-3 quarts of oil during the trip. What could be causing this? I pulled off one of the intake pipes and it was pretty oily inside. The turbo nearest the front of the car leaks onto the downpipe also, so alot of people think it's overheating, but it's just burning off the oil, which I don't like happening either because of obvious risks.

Sounds like a problem my 94 started having. Right after an oil change, a started getting bad oil smoke from the turbo area. After dissassembling the turbo piping I found engine oil in the piping (Similar to what you described) It was leaking through the o-ring onto the exhause pipe baffle. I'm doing research on the web to determine exactly the cause. I think I'm getting oil bypassing through the primary turbo. It seemed to have a little wobble in the turbine spool in the car. Looks like I've got to do a rebuild.

The turbo's need a rebuild to cure this, or is an O-ring a temporary replacement? I just need them to hold out for about a month in hops of going single, if not, I'm going non-sdq once I get a PFC.
