However, if you are sequential kindly disregard this post..., and the gentle bucking I mentioned above took place last night on the coffee table with my girlfriend.
your gf ***** like a wrongfully modded ragged on rotary about to pop an apex seal on the highway?

Mine would do the same at the top of 4th and in 5th. I though my twins were just getting old. Some many miles later the front one locked up, so that may have been the case. I now have a single and have not had this issue again.

I would have thought the bucking on the coffee table would have been a bit more then gentle.

Is 150 really amazing? I hit 160 daily...well, when my car is not under construction on I79 South bound between Pittsburgh and Wasington.

And I guess not daily either, more like nightly.

At any rate, it's not possible...it's easy.

I don't know, that section of Rt. 13 in front of the Bridgeville state police barracks is pretty straight.

Haha, there's an idea. Don't mind the blue cars behind the bushes - they just like to park there.

Exactly. Mazda did not top speed limit the car. Unless he was doing this run in 4th, and hit the rev limiter (or something like that), then it shouldn't have happened.

Fuel system?

Everyone has to be a tough guy! Pop a couple more 'roids and then come back and talk rational.

My comments weren't directed at you in the first place...more so at the people that were curious as to where you were to do these kinds of speeds, etc.

Maybe my comments were a little too broad, maybe not. Either way, your temper is hilarious.

its going to happen when someone pulls out on you or into your lane when your going 170 and you smack into them. Something YOU can't control

My recomendation, check the fuel filter. At 150+ you are drawing a lot of fuel out of the tank and its all gotta get filtered. At normal speeds and around town you wouldnt notice it, but at that RPM you are drawing alot of fuel for a long period of time.

Agreed, that's quite possible. However, I have never passed a car, or been near a car when going that fast...and for that very reason. (as you pointed out)

However, I have passed quite a few going around 120 or so...

Could be your tranny, all kinds of **** is going to break at that speed. You shouldn't have any problems drivng all day at 130-135 but 150 is putting alot of stain on the car

I dont think its the tranny...150 is what, 5 or 6k rpm? Rotarys love that engine speed, so Mazda would have designed a tranny to go with it.

Not sure what your problem is, but id say its NOT Tranny related.

More like 6500-7000rpm. Your right the engine has no problem with the high revs. Thats why I think smoke might have been from tranny. Or turbos. How long were you driving 150mph?

I've never hit 150 with stock ecu. but with my other car and with newer BMWs, when you hit the max set speed, it will acturally slow the car down below.

Regarding the smoke. I don't know what kind of smoke you are seeing, but maybe from the oil left behind when you changed out the oil filter??

One suggestion I have (and this goes for all the newbs asking questions), Please make sure to describe what kind of mods, miles, and problems in detail.

For instance, are you going 150 for 1 minute, 2 min, or 10 mins.
How about at 145??
