Bubble Tech- collection of my various projects...

So engines getting rebuilt, took it down to a short block so figured hey why not relocate the coils!

i dont have power steering, ac, cruise control yada yada yada so i had some space to work with... i ended up using the stock coil bracket and cutting off 2 of the L brackets and left the straight brackets on... then i drilled 2 holes on the opposite side and added a middle bracket... in the end it looks liek this...

with all my crap removed, i decided to mount it on the engine bay rail... it looks like a good position, easy access, away from heat, short distance from coils to spark plugs, fairly close to stock position so the harness connetors SHOULD reach without modification.. (not positive, will report back when i install the engine later this week)
here is where i will mount it... drilled 3 holes and will be held in with self tapping screws? (i think thats what theyre called, pics of mock up are pre-modifying the bracket)

noe that everything is out, you sould install a second gen leading coil. it has a better life expectancy, especially if using an Twin Power or Jacobs. Search "TII leading coils" to read up on it, but it a cheap inexpensive mod
