car colors....we're ARGUING about COLORS?

Okay.....

I am glad to see this didn't erupt into an all out war, for God's sake! Surely, SURELY everyone agrees that the color is SECONDARY to the car!

Maybe Zelig opened things up by stating his opinion; anytime that is done there is going to be swift counterpoints made.
That is like saying "Anyone who thinks (insert your favorite team here) is a bad team doesn't really know ****....." and waiting for the flames to come! What is that old saying, 'Opinions are like ********, everyone has one but sometimes we don't like to hear it..." I am not attacking YOU Zelig, I am just pointing out how things develope sometimes.....

Some of us bought an FD based upon multiple reasons. I like others here, looked at a bunch of thrashed and trashed cars, several RED ones, a couple of silver, and one black My color of choice would have been CYM, but when I found my MB, the shape it was in and the history of the car was too good to turn down. I didn't really WANT an automatic tranny, but once again, the car as a whole was excellent. Seems like this was the case with several Forum members.

Anyway, I am glad to see this thread didn't degenerate into something really ugly.

I agree totally with Can'tGoStraight. It's not the color that makes the car. It's the car that makes the car. I have a Montergo blue but am still fond to black. Although I purchased this one because of its clean record, strong engine and great price. Now even modded to a good extent I am happy to say it is running great!

I just skimmed the post but i dont think this was said. If you get MB then it is like you are getting 3 colors with one car(green, blue, black)...just a thought.

When buying a FD I could have had any color. The ONLY colors I REALLY like are MB, CYM, and silver. Where i live everyone has red and black. There are even 2 cym's. I've seen one other mb but I dont think he actually lives around here couse I hardley evey see it.

Anyway, I REALLY wanted mb with all black interior except tan seats and carpet. I think it is the most classy setup except silver and its exactly what I wanted.

Here is a pic of mine with 37K miles.

the MB is either a lov it or hate it color.

i personally hate it.

I have a Black on Black base with the R-1 spoiler/front lip and some realy dark tinted windows. When the car is clean and your 15 feet away, the car looks so awesome.

However, the down side of black is that it shows every little scratch, swirl marks, ding etc. Also, the car is so hard to keep even close to clean.....its realy a pain in the ***.

Having said that, i'll never buy anouther black car again. I'd preferably like to have a silver or red one. CJ
