Broken speedo needle
I hit a bump last night and when I looked down, my needle was sitting at the bottom of the speedometer. I swear, little things break every time I drive this car.
My question is can the needle be reattached? Thanks ahead of time.

It's a pain in the *** to take out the guage cluster, you have to take most of the interior apart to get at it, and finding all the screws is really not fun.......... BUT it can be done, I had to do it on my last FD when the tach needle read 1000rpm while the engine was off. It's not difficult to take the guages apart it's just getting to them that sucks, make sure you have an entire day to tackle it and take your time. you'll need to start by taking off the center console piece around the shifter so you can remove the stereo and climate control plastic. then you can find all the screws and clips for the guage hood and get that out. Once thats out you can take out the guages and you should be able to snap the speedo needle back into place, unless something is broken like the needles mounting point. before you put the interior back together I'd see if I could drive it down the road with a friend next to you and watch your speedo to make sure it's fairly accurate. Not the safest thing, but find a closed road, of course. - Wish i had some pictures, try and search for threads about removing the stock guage cluster
