I agree, TO and pilot bearings should always be replaced.

I agree though i don't want to cut corners because it comes back to bite you in the *** later if you do. Do it right once and it seems like i got a lot of work ahead of me.
I've never done any of this so this should be interesting!!!
I don't even know if i'm going to need any special tools at all.

If you "don't want to cut any corners", get a new wire ring and wedge collar too...
You really don't need any special tools, but you need someone to help you on a few things. And a factory service manual.
importrx7, I skimmed the thread. Who replaced the clutch the first time? Whoever did it, find out (for sure) if they changed the TO and pilot bearing. You said the clutch is new. If it was done recently, and they replaced all the bearings, yea you don't need to replace them AGAIN. But if you're not sure, guess what...replace 'em.
I would assume that they would have replaced all the bearings, since that's standard procedure for anyone who knows what they're doing, but hollar at Jason and find out anyways. You never know. He may say "oh yea it looked fine when we inspected it so we didn't use another one." BUT, keep in mind some clutch kits come with the bearings! In which case I'd wonder what they did w/ them...
Pulled the tranny out of the car took me and a buddy a entire saturday. I had to remove the bolts on the clutch to get it to seperate from the car. Now the clutch doesn't seem to want to come off. Do i still have to do the push in on the bass collar and pull the TO bearing away from the clutch. Also since the tranny is out of the car can i tilt it on its side i know thats a dumb question but you never know.
