If they are the same ones I have, they are indeed brembo (as branded). I believe that they are cross drilled and slotted by someone else though. I thought that is what I heard.
As far as "paint", don't bother, it won't last. But what you can do is get them Cadmium coated. Regular Cad is kinda' yellow and Cad II is almost like chrome. I got mine done in Cad II and they still look fantastic.

brembos
as far as i know, the rotors are genuine brembos...but they were plain.
the guy on ebay bout 'em like that.. then drilled and/or slotted 'em (like someone else said on the post)
the BIG prob in this is that when u drill/slot AFTERwards...the rotors are prone to cracking. REAL slotted/drilled brembos are slotted/drilled while they're still hot... as part of the rotor manufacturing process
i mean..im sure u can get by on 'em no prob....but u push 'em hard... excessive braking, dont b surprised if they crack on u

Since I am local to the vendor, I picked them up pesonally and witness exactly what they do with them. They are definitely regular plain Brembo rotors designed for an OEM alternative but the fellas there do the cross/drilled and slot themselves. I have nothing but great experiences so far. Less brake dust and better braking power. It was money well spent.

I don't know if it's the same guy but I bought the fronts on eBay.
They did rust but not too bad. Supposedly Brembo will not do a combo (drilled and slotted), they only do one or the other. So the people on eBay buy them plain and do the drilling and slotting themselves, and they do a real good job.

I e-mailed Mastergrade and asked him to e-mail me a photo of an actual "Brembo" rotor he sells on Ebay for FD's. This is the photo he submitted. Looks pretty damn good!!!
I'm getting my four in a couple of weeks!

just installed mine over the weekend...i bought it from the mastergrade dude. only cost me $240 since he shipped them a little later than promised on the auction--he kept his word and refunded the $40 shipping costs.
He also dimpled the rotors instead of crossdrilling them all way thru at my request....I thought I read somewhere that they're less prone the cracking if they're dimpled.
Nevertheless, they definitely had brembo stamped on the edge of the front rotors. Didn't paint the hats though...i suppose i should do that....
