Brake light (!) appears when driving?

When i am driving my (!) brake light will randomly illuminate, sometimes for a few seconds, sometimes for 30 seconds... my e-brake is down. My ABS light is illuminated as well, not sure if they could be linked at all. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Your brake fluid is probably low. The light is also wired as a low indicator for the brake fluid level.

Along with the low brake fluid, the e-brake switch could be failing, I had the same problem.

Ill top off the brake fluid and i noticed tonite my e-brake handle is pretty loose so ill tighten it down, hopefully that takes care of it. If not ill check the switch.

Any chance anyone has any guess on the ABS light?

EZ, whose car is really ever totally done lol. Being serious though, it runs.. has its share of issues at the moment and it does not look the prettiest at the moment but it runs well and that was my goal for this year. We will have to meet up this summer or something

be careful, i kept losing brake fluid... and i could never find the leak, because it was just small enough leak to turn my light on. and it was my slave cylinder for my clutch... just keep an eye out.

check your pads to don't typically have to adjust the parking brake but it does from time to time; just be good to check your rear pads first.

Yeah +1 on keeping an eye on the fuild level.

Brake light- Mine used to do that the problem got fixed after I tightened the ebrake.

ABS- mine used to come on and all I did was look under the car and noticed that my rear sensor was not plugged all the way in.

I will note that both of those lights never came on at the same time. In fact both of those issues were years apart.
