Brainstorming..................................... ...................................

I was wondering how paddle shifting works. And if it is possible to turn the FD into a paddle shift? It will be pretty awsome if you can shift on the paddle.
Thanks for the input.

Paddle shift is completely useless unless the transmission is sequential.

I do remember there being some kind of box that programmed the automatic to do this. I can't remember it for the life of me.

PCS makes a control module that you can use with an aftermarket paddle shift "kit". Cost wise your looking at roughly $1000.00 for the parts. I would recommend looking into getting your auto tranny rebuilt to handle whatever HP you plan on throwing at it (up to . it's design limits.. around 320 RWHP, depending on who you ask).

Weaklink did alot of research in this area so I'd PM him first. If I recall correctly he has his setup for sale (went manual) minus the paddle shifter.

Overall the cost to do this is equal to if not more expensive (if you include rebuilding the tranny) than going manual.

Your call.

Im a little lost with the auto to- paddle shift..but i was wondering if that HKS kit will truly make a 5 speed into a paddle shift. They state on their web site that it is used in F1, GT cars.Or similar to F1.Im not talking about this thing shifting on its own because you didnt bother to shift either.Do you know what i mean?
