Question BOV location-pix

I know this has probably been asked before, but I didn't find anything in the search. Hopefully you guys can help me out here like you always do. I would like to see some pix of where you mounted your aftermarket BOV's and where would you recommend doing it if you don't have pix. I've seen the GReddy elbow with the flange already and there's no way that I'll use a GReddy BOV. HKS or Tial only. So those of you that can help me out, thanx in advance.

I was thinking of an HKS one as well, but I havent ever seen pics of the elbow pipe for it, or seen how its configured. Maybe a muffler shop can cut the greddy pipe and weld the HKS flange to it or something? The HKS kit for our car is expensive, as is every other part, so go figure. But good call on that. I'd like to see what it looks like and how it mounts up.

Mounting: The closer you mount your BOV to the throttle body inlet the better, simple as that.

Lots of guys have great success mounting it further away, or even on the "hot side" of the intercooler, but it's still not as good as closer to the TB. When the TB plate slams closed, the air rushing into it should be able to vent out ASAP, instead of having to back up the pressure to where the BOV is mounted.

lol
thats gotta bet the wierdest placement i've seen.
looks like theres a pipe connected to the base of it that is probably connected to the intercooler piping somewhere...far far away from where the bov is.
hahah

if i were going to get a BOV it'd probably have to be the HKS SSQV (super sequential). two of my friends have them and it has a really nice sound. i like the high-pitched metal-clashing sound. i'm not gonna be boosting over 12psi anytime soon so i don't really need a BOV. the stock one is very nice as it is but don't get me wrong, if i had to choose between the two, or any BOV in that case, it'd have to be the HKS.

i thought the BOV had to be mounted somewhere on the intake system ?

It looks like he removed the stock BOV piping, ran new piping and mounted the BOV there.

Well, there is a steel braided line that connects im guessing where one of the stock blow off valves would be. the the lie runs up to where the blow off is on the other side of the brake maser cylinder. Works great. To clear up any possible confusion, the car is RHD

To all you guys, don't forget about the Tial BOV too. That is a very quality piece. But I'm just partial to the HKS SSQV. Anybody else feel like sharing pix?? Especially if you have it mounted on the elbow!!!! Thanx in advance.

I have twin ARC BOV's mounted on simple "L" angle brkts, one mounted to the fender, the other to the LIM above the turbos.

One is used as the BOV the other as the CRV.

Look carefully under my intake pipe, fwd & aft of the strut tower.

ARC sell them on a common flange attached together, probably fits a JDM RX-7 with no problem. I had to separate them to clear the intake pipe by cutting the flange in half. I used the stock hoses & trimmed them to fit.

I guess it's pretty loud, I can't hear it over my exhaust, but people tell me they can at auto-X's

You can get the kit for the FD that comes with a flange. So, it mounts in the stock location without any problems.

That kit is for the APEXi BOV made for the FD3 or will it also fit the larger universal APEXi BOV?

does the kit for the HKS BOV mount in the stock location like the twin chamber Apexi. I know rx7store sells a kit for the FD but it doesn't say if it can be mounted in the stock location or not.

As far as I know, Apexi only makes one flange for the Apexi BOV (which is the Twin Chamber BOV):
