BOV leaking?

how can you tell when your BOV is leaking under boost?

i was driving home tonight, and my car seems like its redlining around 6,750-7,000rpms.... i was wondering if thats my BOV leaking or if its something else. or even if my stock BOV could cause that problem? can someone help me... its my first FD
