bose system sucks!!!!!

I been doing car audio for about 3 years now for a living and currently I'm running alpine CDA7875 deck and polk db 4 inch components. The wave system still works but I hate it. The only reason I haven't replaced it is because I'll have getto carpet holes were the wave system was. Were can I get rear carpet for non-Bose and I also need rear speakers brackets for a stock non-Bose set up. One other thing, I also here non-bose has 6 1/2 speakers in the door. Basically if anybody is makeing a non-bose rx-7 into a race car and gutting the interor, your my best friend, EMAIL ME!!!!! I have gobs of high end speakers at my finger tips and I can't use ****. Were can I get these things anybody.......thanks.

Could you quantify why you don't like the stock BOSE system that comes with the touring models?? I don't claim to be an audiophile but just want to enjoy decent music, in that regard would this work well enough???

The bose is an ok stock system. You aren't going to set any decibel level records, but it holds its own. From what I hear, it gets much better with a new head unit, too.

The Bose system is not that good. Granted, it is a little bit older, so you really cannot compare to today's standards. The stock Infiniti systems in my 1997 Eclipse and 2000 Eclipse pounce all over the Bose in terms of quality, features and dB.

My Bose system kicked *** when I bought my FD, but with time and constant musical torture , I can tell it's getting tired.

I'm perfectly happy with it and intent to simply get the front speakers replaced. Speakers, no matter WHO makes them, DO get worn down with age. I still get decent bass from the subs, but the fronts are starting to sound a little cracky. At least my subs are loud enough to give my friend an ear ache for almost 1 week

Ahh ok..thanks for the comments..now I suppose if I get too deep into the BOSE quetsions, I should probably go post in the Audio section..but anyways..

Is the BOSE system amplified? Do some of you who've changed the HU, kept the speakers? Looked into replacing the speakers? Worth it?

Are the speakers seperates?

I don't like the Bose system at all. I think it sounds like ****, and it adds more weight to the car. I was in car stereo installation for a few years..and the one thing that I hated was having to re-wire a car because it had a Bose system. Pain in the ***.

When i went to purchase a new deck the guy there told me I couldn't do it unless I replaced my entire system. He said the If your gonna replace one bose thing out of your car you got to replace everything like speakers an the wave system is this true? I wanna get a DVD in it can it work with the stock set up other than the deck.

The bose speakers are amplified. And you can use them with an aftermarket decj if you use an adapter. The stock decjs are 4 ohm and the Bose speakers are 2 ohm. SO you need the adapter so you wont fry your deck. Scosche makes an adapter. I believe its called the F-1A. Check with crutchfield. They have them. I wired mine up myself. It has gain controls so you can control your Bose amps.
