Booty check

i discovered Magnecor about 15 years ago and have always run and recommended their custom made wires. i recently discovered a split boot and just called them re replacement.
i will be looking at it in 2 days and they wouldn't take my money. all good at Magnecor. custom, first rate and not expensive.

you'll note the Denso S-31A plug. i think it is the ultimate plug for the trail. correct length, surface gap just like OE, 10 heat range, resistor and lunch money. love them.

I'm also a happy Magnacore user, have their 8.5mm sets in my FD & FC. Good to know they still stand behind their products, so far I haven't had to take them up on it!

Howard,

Where are you finding the Denso S-31A(3111)? I am having trouble locating them and am due for a plug change. Wanted to use these in trailing and moving to NGK 5501 for Leading. I will have to dig up idea gap for the 5501 as I cant remember what it should be.

Eric

Rx7 forum must have purchased all of the Denso 3111 plugs. Denso shows National Backorder with not ETA for new.

https://www.densoproducts.com/denso-...31a-spark-plug

EDIT- I called Denso directly. They placed an order for these plugs in December of 23 and are waiting for more stock to come in. There are open orders that still need to be filled(distributors/retailers) before we will see any of these.

They do have in stock the S29A, which is equal to 9.5 heat range. https://www.densoproducts.com/denso-...29a-spark-plug

Alternatively the Tech I spoke with said that if you want to upgrade to iridium, their alternative is the RU01-31 although it has a 19mm(instead of 21mm) reach. https://www.densoproducts.com/denso-...31-racing-plug

I may just end up going with the S29A to start until the S31A makes its way back into the wild, hopefully.

Eric

whenever you find something wonderful it gets... DISCONTINUED

like the FD or the Baked Brie w Raspberry at Lake Street in Elkhart Lake....oh well..

or the Denso S31As. Denso has no plans to make any more.

there is, however, a seller of "old stock" S31As on EBAY.

they look fine to me so i bought 10 today. proceed at your own risk.
